Cosy Evening with Dão Wines & Tapas
We’re delighted to invite you to a relaxed and intimate Tavira Wine Club evening, celebrating the elegance and character of DÂO WINES, beautifully paired with delicious tapas and accompanied by music.
The Dão wine region, located in central Portugal and surrounded by mountains, is one of the country’s most historic and respected wine areas. Known for its granite soils, high-altitude vineyards, and cool nights, Dão produces wines of exceptional elegance, freshness, and aging potential.
You’ll discover refined reds based on Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro, and Tinta Roriz, offering silky textures and aromatic depth, alongside vibrant whites made from Encruzado, celebrated for its minerality, balance, and complexity. Dão wines are often described as quietly powerful — subtle, expressive, and incredibly food-friendly, making them perfect for a cosy tasting evening.

We are delighted to invite you to our next Tavira Wine Club event taking place on Sunday, 31st May, in the beautiful rooftop setting of our partner restaurant Brisa do Rio, located along the riverside in the heart of Tavira with wonderful panoramic views over the town and river.
We are especially excited to welcome the producer of Quinta da Pellada, one of the most respected wineries from Portugal’s Dão region, internationally recognised for producing elegant, characterful wines that beautifully express the terroir and tradition of the region.
The tasting will be guided by the producer and will feature a selection of Quinta da Pellada wines, accompanied by delicious bites specially prepared by the chef of Brisa do Rio to complement the wines.
